Autumn Williams is an Oregon bigfoot researcher who authored the popular book, “Enoch: A Bigfoot Story.”The book tells the tale of “Mike” who is a habituator in Florida. Through his interactions, Mike comes to learn and appreciate more about their culture and ways, as he seeks to protect them. The book, which Williams said is also her own story, attracted significant attention inside the community with its message that the sasquatch are a people with heart, emotion and greater meaning to share with those who are ready.
Williams hosted the Television show Mysterious Encounters for all 13 episodes which aired in 2003. Her interest in the field started after seeing two sasquatch in a forest behind her childhood home. After more than two decades studying bigfoot, she announced in a 2010 video her resignation from research, noting she was tired of people only looking for “evidence.”
Williams expressed in a 2012 post on her oregonbigfoot.com blog particular dismay with television shows hyping bigfoot and offering cash prizes for evidence. She describes they want me to help. The answer is NO….” she wrote.
